Better Everywhere

Deep Ellum Outdoor Market is taking a shot at the Better Block project.  For those who don’t know what this is, it’s a day long attempt to show Dallas what streets could be like if they were built better!  More room for pedestrians, more room for bikes and more room for businesses!  Where does that room come from you ask?  How about a couple of those car lanes on Elm St.    This is going to be big! and we’re pumped! Cyclesomatic 2010

Cyclesomatic 2010 is upon us! This four-day festival for cyclers is bigger and better than Uncle Buck’s pancakes (complete with snow shovel).

Kicking off a screening of Pedal on the Belmont Hotel lawn, these four days will help bring cyclists together for fun activities including a Polaride Photo Scavenger Hunt (Register now!), Historical Lee Harvey Oswald Bike Ride, a big-ol block party in Oak Cliff, and lots of beer, cheers, and gears.

Here’s the schedule:

October 14th, Thursday	7:30 PM – 75208 Presents a Group Ride from Downtown to the Belmont Hotel to watch “Pedal“
October 15th, Friday	8:30 AM – Dallas Bikes to City Hall 3 PM – Rosemont Elementary’s Kiddical Mass Ride Presented by QBP and YBS Bikes (Rescheduled)9:30 PM – Bike-In Movie on the Lawn at the Crow Museum – Godzilla vs. King Kong
October 16th, Saturday	AM- Fort Worth to Dallas Ride – Details to Come 1PM – Alley Cat Race Presented b OCBC and DOOM 6PM – 10PM – Bicycle Block Party in Bishop Arts (w/Beer, BBQ, Bands, Gold Sprints, and more!)
October 17th, Sunday	10 AM – Photopol.us Present Polaride, A Bicycle Photo Scavenger Hunt 2:30PM BFOC Presents On the Trail of Lee Harvey Oswald History Tour Group Ride 4PM Cyclesomatic Wrap-Up Party at Eno’s Tavern
